Ensures all Niagara assets are in working order and inspected daily. This includes forklifts and Intermec equipment.
Trains others on operation of forklift trucks and operational procedures with emphasis on safety measures.
Acts as backup to the Warehouse Supervisor as needed.
Assists the supervisor in the coordination of shipping and receiving schedules, scheduling workloads and staffing.
Ensure the Master Sanitation Schedule is completed and up to date at all times.
Maintains inventory accuracy through sub-inventory transfers and cycle count corrections.
Ensures efficient use of time and equipment, ensuring that the appropriate records are maintained and that tight inventory control and security is maintained.
Provides guidance, support, and direction to other employees in the performance of all duties.
Acts as a constant communication link between management and employees.
Ensures no loads exceed two hours for loading. With a goal of 45 minutes per load.
Assists management in proactively finding solutions to problem areas.
Encourages staff to participate in safety programs.
Performs other miscellaneous duties, projects, and assignments as needed.
4 to 6 years ofexperience, preferred
High School Diploma or GED
Must be familiar with distribution and warehouse procedures and know material handling functions.
Must be able to operate all warehouse equipment and be able to complete light data entry.
Must be a good communicator and motivator. Must be able to follow verbal and written communications/directions.
Familiar with warehouse management and operations including use of equipment and maintenance.
Must have attention to detail for continuous mental and visual attention.
